It was a nice, sunshiney but not too hot day today. It was very nice. So I guess today's pictures reflect the brightness of the day. When I saw the goldfinch on the sunflower, and my camera in reach, I knew I would have today's picture. The only thing that would have made it better is if I didn't have to shoot it through the window screen. But it came out ok, nonetheless.

Church At The Green

So often, I drive by here and want to take a picture of the church. There are utility wires cutting across it so I always figured I'd wait and work out the best angle, etc. This time with the sun shining on it just right, I couldn't pass it up. I took the picture while sitting at a stop sign. Traffic approaching from behind, I had only a couple seconds to get the shot.
I used Gimp to remove the wires, and PhotoImpression to make other adjustments.

Well, more like capsized I guess. Despite their trip down the "rapids" with their life vests but without the canoe, everybody seemed ok.
